Arrive at Casablanca airport where you will be met and greeted by your guide before transferring to your hotel. Check in at hotel and get ready for an orientation tour of this city which is the Business Capital of the Kingdom. From your coach you’ll see the Medina, Mohammed V square, United Nations square, the Central Market, the Habbous quarter, the Royal Palace, the residential area of Anfa and the outside view of the magnificent Hassan II Mosque and the Ain Diab Corniche lined with swimming pools and gastronomic restaurants. Overnight in Casablanca.
After breakfast, depart for Rabat, the administrative capital of Morocco. On arrival go on a sightseeing tour of “Imperial Garden City”. Along with its main monuments like Oudayas garden, Hassan Tower and its Mausoleum, you’ll see the ramparts and walls of the Mechouar which surround the Royal Palace. Continue onto Meknes and a tour of this “Moroccan Versailles”. It was founded at the end of the 17th century by Moulay Ismail, a contemporary of Louis XIV. Sights of interest include Bab El Mansour, considered as the finest gateway in Morocco. The Moulay Ismaïl Mausoleum as well as the mosque and his tomb. Later transfer to Fes. Arrive and check into your hotel. Dinner and overnight at Fes.
Breakfast at the hotel. The whole day today is devoted in discovering this city. Considered as a universal patrimony, Fez is ranked nowadays among the list of spiritual and historic cities of the world. A visitor to Fez experiences the atmosphere of the middle ages of the Islamic civilisation. Depart this morning to discover the Medina, the largest in Morocco. UNESCO declared the Medina of Fez one of the world’s cultural treasures. Move on to the Nejjarine Square. This square, with its splendid and unusual fountain, takes its name from the Souk Nejjarine (Carpenter’s Souk), which is situated behind a wooden door in a narrow street below the square. Visit Attarine Medersa, by far the most beautiful Medersa (school) in Fez. Especially notable are the bronze door, the inner courtyard with fine marble and alabaster pillars, the cedarwood canopy and the white marble font decorated with a rosette and Zellige. Fez is also known for its tanneries. The colourful tanner’s quarter, spreads out along the banks of the Oued Fez. The view from the rooftops is a memorable one. Clusters of stone vats filled with red, yellow and brown dyes, and skins hanging everywhere, drying in the sun. Continue to Mellah, the Jewish quarter, considered to be the largest in Morocco. The buildings include charming old houses with elaborately carved wooden balconies and Neo-classical colonnades, and a number of residential blocks with multi-coloured façades. Stop and explore the new city before returning to the hotel. Dinner and overnight at Fez.
After breakfast at the hotel, depart on a full day’s drive to Marrakech with a stop in Ifrane, one of the few ski resorts in Morocco. Travel past a pageantry of fragrant, dense pine and cedar forest, terraced farms, the mud – brick Berber villages in Azrou known for its wood-carved handicrafts and expert carpet weaving. Continue through via Atlas Mountain towards Beni Mellal where you can stop and have lunch on your own. Continue onto Marrakech. Arrive and check into your hotel. Dinner and overnight at Marrakech.
Today after breakfast, devote the entire day in discovering this magic city known as the “Pearl of the South”. Points of interest include: The magnificent Menara gardens which cover an area of 250 acres and are planted with olive trees. The large central lake, dating from the 12th century, is fed by a network of irrigation channels. At the water’s edge, a small Saadian pavilion was used for the sultan’s romantic pleasures. The Koutoubia Mosque is one of the best examples of Moorish art, combining apparent simplicity with superb craftsmanship and restrained luxury. Its minaret, 252 feet high is certainly one of the most impressive sights in Marrakech. During the 16th century, several mausoleums were built to accommodate the tombs of thirteen Saadian rulers. The Saadian Tombs, with its delicate decoration and pure architectural lines, are an outstandingly beautiful feature of architecture. The Bahia Palace, built among 2 acres of lush and exotic gardens, is a combination of ancient culture and luxury. The inner courtyards are surrounded by many luxurious rooms of the palace. The famous souks, with an intricate maze of narrow streets, are a mirror of the Moroccan way of life bustling with merchants, tourists, animals, small shops, spices. Jemaa El Fna Square is one of the main attractions of Marrakesh. This traditional meeting place for peasants and merchants has become the heart of Marrakesh. In the morning, this vast square, bordered by shops and workshops, is crowded with fruit and spice sellers, basket sellers, ironmongers and barbers. In the afternoon and in the evening hours the musicians, story-tellers, snake charmers and entertainers with performing monkeys fill this square turning it into a live theater. Return to your hotel. Dinner and overnight at Marrakech.
After breakfast you will be transferred to Airport for your flight home.
